SUMMER HIGH TIDE YOGA

This movement series is inspired by the qualities of rising ocean tides—rhythmic and building movement alongside rising and churning energy. These moderate standing yoga sequences emphasize stability, balance, and breath while aiming to lift and circulate the energy of the body.

High Tide 1

This moderate standing yoga practice invites purposeful breathing and spinal mobility. Lunge and plank postures stimulate and circulate energy.

 

 

High Tide 2

A dynamic standing sequence emphasizes coordination of breath and simple repetitive movements. This full body yoga practice includes an opportunity to practice balance.

 

 

High Tide 3

This slow standing yoga practice begins with a centering and a variety of spinal movements, includes a warrior series to create strength and stability for the lower body, and concludes with a gentle balance challenge.

SUMMER LOW TIDE YOGA

The “Low Tide” movement series is inspired by the rhythmic and fluid qualities of receding ocean tides. These gentle floor based yoga sequences emphasize fluid and dynamic movements woven with cyclical breath patterns.

Low Tide 1

This gentle practice invites waves of rhythmic and repetitive breath to soothe and calm the body. Floor based movements support a sense of grounding and regulation.

 

 

Low Tide 2

This sequence is designed to soothe and cool the system. The practice begins in a restful supine position and the sounds of a singing bowl. Move slowly with gentleness to counterbalance the heat and energized movement of the summer.

 

 

Low Tide 3

This floor based practice explores the coordination between wavelike breaths and fluid movements to soothe and balance the entire system. This video begins with instructions on how to find a comfortable and safe seated posture, explores simple and repetitive movements, and concludes with the sounds of a singing bowl.
